Graton Gallery – California Fine Art &
Artisan Crafts
“A friendly destination for great art!”

The Gallery is Open Tuesday thru Sunday :: 10:30 am to
6:00 pm
Since first opening in the summer of 2002, Graton Gallery offers an ever-changing variety of original art, and is a favorite of those who
find it. Behind its narrow store-front, the long, high-ceiling show
space and adjacent sculpture garden hold one of the largest overall
selections of local fine art and artisan crafts in Sonoma County.
Rotating shows debut every 6 weeks featuring resident and guest
artists. Opening receptions for each new show offer the public an
opportunity to meet the artists and engage in lively conversation.
“WOW. This is
hands down the best gallery I've been to in the west coast. As a NYC
gallery snob (used to work at Christie's), I have high gallery
standards. I was totally surprised to be blown away by a gallery in
a town that has... about 1.5 blocks of "downtown." I dragged my
husband along who is not a super art lover, and even he was singing
its praises. The art was varied in style, type, and price, which I
loved, and somehow it all also seemed to gel together. If you're in
the area, definitely put this place on your list. If not, it's still
worth a trip!” – Four STAR Review posted on Yelp.com 1/25/2009

The Gallery is owned and operated by a partnership of 7 local
artists; Susan Ball, Rik Olson, Soo Noga, Pam Lewis, Linda Ratzlaff, Sally Baker and Mylette Welch. Partners share a common
interest in actively supporting the arts as Board Members,
Volunteers and Directors of local arts organizations including; Arts
Council of Sonoma County, Sonoma County Gallery Group, and
Sebastopol Center for the Arts/Art at the Source. The Gallery also
hosts the ARTrails Preview Show in October (in tandem with the Arts
Council of Sonoma County), sponsors community events and supports emerging
local artists. Many nationally and internationally famous artists
got their start at Graton Gallery…, and many savvy collectors know this.
As an “artist's gallery” Graton Gallery has a unique relationship
with a vast pool of professional artists and is able to draw new
guest artists for each show. The Invitational Exhibition each winter
brings together over 25 top Northern California painters,
printmakers and sculptors into one show.
